Possibly the best movie title I’ve seen yet this year, 9 is a film set for release on December 26th, 2008 (yes, 2008). The plot description on IMDb is very vague:
A post-apocalyptic nightmare in which all of humanity is threatened.
What has me so excited is the cast: Jennifer Connelly, Crispin Glover, Elijah Wood, John C. Reilly, Christopher Plummer, & Martin Landau. The only other clue about the movie is that all the actors are listed as voice actors and the genre is listed as animation/adventure/fantasy/sci-fi/war. Weirdly enough, the writer/director Shane Acker made another movie titled 9 in 2005, also an animated feature. The 2005 feature was about a rag doll fighting a soul-stealing monster.
