Milla Jovovich Would Never Marry Steve Zahn
Posted by: Christine on Mar 25th, 2008 Leave a Comment »

Steve Zahn is Not George ClooneyMilla Jovovich is Unbelievably HotSteve Zahn’s a funny guy, but he’s no George Clooney. Milla Jovovich, on the other hand, is the perfect woman (as The Fifth Element tells us and the Resident Evil series of films proves). She’s f’n gorgeous, and I’m a straight married woman.

So it makes no sense that she and Zahn, star of both Rescue Dawn and Joy Ride, would play a married couple on their honeymoon in a new horror movie called A Perfect Getaway. In the movie, the newlyweds meet another couple who turn out to be murderous hikers.

The movie sounds like crap to begin with, but I can’t get past the idea that Zahn and Jovovich would make a good on-screen couple.

Bloody Disgusting has more details about the movie, and a superhot picture of Milla.

  Saw V Casting News

Bloody Disgusting confirmed the cast so far for Saw V as Tobin Bell, Scott Patterson, Costas Mandylor, Mark Rolston, Betsy Russell, and Samantha Lemole. IMDb only has Bell, Patterson, and Mandylor listed, but one would assume at least Betsy Russell would be around for the fifth flick in the series.

Mark Rolston and Samantha Lemole are new to the series, but the rest are all returning characters. The movie is still set for release the weekend before Halloween this year, making this the fifth year in a row that we’ll be able to spend Halloween watching Jigsaw impart his special brand of life-appreciation.

Justin Long Joins Drag Me To HellUnfortunately, Ellen Page (Juno, Hard Candy) will not be in Sam Raimi’s Drag Me To Hell as previously reported. She has been replaced by Alison Lohman (Flicka).

The good news is that Justin Long (Live Free or Die Hard, Accepted) is joining the cast. The UGO Movie Blog reports that filming will start March 31st, 2008.

  Saw V Trap News

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a big fan of the Saw series of horror flicks, so news on Saw V eight and a half months before the movie hits theaters makes me very happy.

Bloody Disgusting spoke with director David Hackl who has previously served as production designer on the Saw sequels. Hackl has a few tidbits to share about the set and the traps, but I think the most interesting part is when he talks about the “reference disc” given to him by the trap designer: “The disc was full of real life ‘inspiration’ from industrial accidents, plane crashes and road disasters.”

Sounds like the traps are going to be even more disgusting and violent than we’ve seen in the past three sequels.

Ellen Page in New Sam Raimi Horror Movie

Having just seen Juno, I’m a little in awe of Ellen Page. I loved her even more after reading the interview with her in Entertainment Weekly. She seems like a smart girl – like someone I would have been friends with in high school. She’s a fresh face in Hollywood these days, so it’s no surprise that director Sam Raimi has picked her up for his new horror film, Drag Me To Hell.

Empire Online points out that this is Raimi’s first non-Spider-Man movie in eight years. It’s also his first horror movie since Army of Darkness.

I’m really looking forward to see what Page can do for a horror movie. It’s also a good sign that she won’t be typecast as the smart-mouthed indie chick forever.

New Movie From Horror Master Wes Craven

Finally a horror movie we know will be good – horror master Wes Craven (The Last House on the Left, A Nightmare on Elm Street) is working on 25/8 about a serial killer out to kill the seven kids that were born the night he died.

That’s enough to get me to see it, but if you need more Bloody Disgusting has all the details.

According to IMDb, Craven also has a film called Shocker in the works about a serial killer that comes back from the dead after being killed by the electric chair and then uses electricity to kill people. It sounds awfully close to an episode of Reaper (which I love, by the way), but I’d be interested to see it anyway. I’m a sucker for senseless horror flicks.

  M. Night Shyamalan’s The Happening Poster

M. Night Shyamalan’s new movie is about a “large scale threat to humanity” (according to IMDb) and stars Mark Wahlberg and John Leguizamo. The marketing folks aren’t screwing around – they hit you with references to Night’s previous films (We’ve sensed it – The Sixth Sense; We’ve seen the signs – Signs). They’re after the die-hard Night fans, like myself. They were especially smart in referencing his two most successful films.

The Happening will be in theaters June 13th, 2008.

New Pictures of Kate Beckinsale in Whiteout

How I love Kate Beckinsale…New pictures of Kate in her thriller Whiteout have been released online. I especially like this one above. Kate’s so pretty…Whiteout is the story of a U.S. Marshal (Kate) hunting down a killer in Antarctica just before the sun sets for six months. It’s like 30 Days of Night, but with Kate instead of Josh Hartnett as our hottie, and a serial killer instead of vampires as our baddie.

Whiteout will be out sometime in ’08. Check out the other pictures on Bloody Disgusting.
