A couple of months ago I posted about the poster for The Water Horse, a new movie from the makers of The Chronicles of Narnia. The new trailer is even cuter than the poster, and has a little bit of the charm that E.T. had when I was a kid. Check it out below.

You can! At least in truck form. A listing on eBay features a replica of Optimus Prime in Peterbilt form. Complete with the flame paint job and a Transformers logo on the steering wheel, the bid is currently at $55,400 with a little over a day left in the auction.
The best part about the replica truck? The bed in the cab is decked out with Transformers sheets.
Check out the listing before it ends on October 22nd.

Optimus Prime himself claims there will be not one, but two Transformers sequels. According to Superhero Hype, Peter Cullen (the voice of Optimus Prime) says there will be two more that he knows of, and that yes, he will provide the voice for our favorite robot for both films.
If you’re a fan of Optimus, or have a friend who is, send them a phone call from Optimus Prime.

Newspaper ads for the upcoming Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, starring Natalie Portman and Dustin Hoffman, have a scratch-n-sniff element to them. The good news – it smells like cake. The movie is about the most wonderful toy store in the world. The bad news – most scratch-n-sniff cards smell awful anyway. Anyone remember the scratch-n-sniff episode of “My Name is Earl”? I didn’t smell Oreos. I smelled paper.

The IESB is reporting on a new straight-to-DVD movie aimed at the Disney crowd – The Haunting Hour Volume One: Don’t Think About It. It stars a handful of Disney Channel stars, and my favorite bad guy Tobin Bell.
The flick is about a bunch of kids getting into trouble, much as the books by R.L. Stine were about. Novelist R.L. Stine, the children’s version of Stephen King, is presenting this straight-to-DVD series, which I’m sure is about more than just kids getting into trouble. There are probably some ghost stories in there as well. Tobin Bell plays The Stranger, naturally. If he scares the Disney crowd as much as he’s been able to scare adults in the Saw series, this could be a DVD hit.

This is non-movie-related, but I had to write about it. IMDb reports that a writer is suing the Disney channel claiming they plagiarized the idea for the hit teen TV show “Hannah Montana” from an idea he pitched to them. He claims,
he pitched an idea for a television series called “Rock And Roland” to the Disney Channel in 2001. According to the lawsuit, the story was about a junior high school student who lived a secret double life as a rock star.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t that mean he plagiarized the general idea from the 80s TV show “Jem”? Granted, Jem wasn’t a junior high school student, but she’s an everyday person with a rock star alter-ego.
