We all know I’m a huge Ryan Gosling fan. He’s a fantastic actor and never disappoints (see Stay and Murder By Numbers).
New reports are saying he’s been tapped to play the Green Lantern. I’m not familiar with the character enough to know if this is good casting, but I can guarantee that Gosling could adapt to the role.

Are you a fan of Knocked Up? Want to contribute to a good cause? There’s a Knocked Up movie poster on sale on eBay signed by the entire cast, and the proceeds benefit the Make a Noise Foundation. The Foundation was started by Steve Vai in 1998 and is “committed to the incredible power of music, the foundation’s goal is to provide funding for music education and programs for those unable to pursue music-related activities due to limited resources.”
The current auctions (which also include signed music memorabilia from No Doubt, Sevendust, Lit, Linkin Park, Disturbed and other bands) will be used to assist with the medical bills for Allen Shellenberger, drummer for Lit. The auctions all state:
Allen Shellenberger, the drummer for Orange County rock back Lit, has been diagnosed with a grade 4 malignant brain tumor. Biopsy results have identified Allen’s tumor as diffused glioblastoma multiforme, the most aggressive of primary brain tumors. It is the same type of cancer Senator Edward M. Kennedy is battling. Allen is 38 years old and Lit has been a band and a brotherhood for over 20 years. Despite the news, Allen and the band are committed to the fight.
To help offset Allen’s medical costs, The Make A Noise Foundation is sponsoring this auction through Ebay’s Giving Works Program. All proceeds will benefit Allen Shellenberger and Cedars-Sinai’s Maxine Dunitz Neurosurgical Institute in Los Angeles. Thank you so much for your support!
The auctions end October 9th. Check out the Knocked Up poster on eBay.

Lots seemed to have happened since Friday, so let’s recap.
- Travis Barker and DJ AM were in a plane crash, but are reported to be okay and expected to eh have a full recovery.
- Samuel L. Jackson is the man, and has the number one movie in the country right now.
- The Dark Knight broke the $520 million mark, and it still in the top 10 grossing movies after two full months in theaters.
- The Emmys were Sunday night. Did anyone watch them? Yawn.
- Stephen King turned 61. Happy Birthday, you weird, weird man. Please keep writing.
- Fans are in an uproar about the new Bond Theme. I hate it too, folks.
- Kelly Osbourne has signed a deal to write a book about her life. Tens of people care.
While lots happened, in retrospect, not many of them are interesting.

If you were so interested to take a sneek peek at 7 minutes of the flick, which may (or may not) make you want to see the movie more/less, it aired the other night during a rerun of “Fringe” on Fox.
Our friends over at LatinoReview were kind enough to capture it, and put it up online. Head on over, and check it out.
LatinoReview’s The Day The Earth Stood Still clip
I’m a bit indifferent. The flick looked pretty good when I saw the trailer on the bigscreen, but this clip doesn’t really do it for me. What do you think? Voice your opinion in the comments.
