Not only is Christian Bale one of the best Batman actors in many years, but Yahoo now confirms that Bale will be playing John Connor in next year’s Terminator 4 movie.
Could this possibly be the best news this weekend? I certainly think so. It’s no secret that we here at MovieSnobs think Christian Bale rules. This news is great. But will the fourth film in the Terminator series live up to the original? Or will it bomb?

Funny how they didn’t cast the original John Connor (Edward Furlong) even though he’s only three years younger than Christian Bale.
I skipped T3 because I thought nothing could be cooler than T2, but if Bale’s in it I might just have to see the fourth one.
Terminator will be tough without Arnold, but Christian Bale is a good edition. Top 10 Christian Bale movies anyone?
Without the Governator, that’s going to be quite a feat. Why in the world are they switching actors again? Did Nick Stahl not look old enough in T3 to be able to reprise the part? Don’t get me wrong, I like Christian Bale and all. But it looks like this movie franchise is going into Batman territory with all its casting changes. And why are they even making a fourth film so soon? There was a 7 year gap between the first and second flicks; a 12 year gap between the second and third; now there will only be a 4 or 5 year gap between the third and the fourth. Man, they must be hurting to bring in a quick buck fast!
t4 should rock for no other reason than because Bale is in it, that guy’s a good actor
