Elizabeth: The Golden Age: Cate Blanchett gets all gussied up again as Queen Elizabeth I, and we learn more about her long reign.
Will It Bomb? This will hit the 5. No doubt about it.
Did It Bomb? Unfortunately, Cate did not rule the Box Office the way the Queen ruled her kingdom. #6 slot with $6.15 million revenue.
Outcome: Mezza-mezza. ½ out of 4.
Lars and the Real Girl: Wanting new friends, Ryan Gosling orders a plastic girl online. Family and friends are a bit concerned.
Will It Bomb? The industry’s giving it some positive feedback, so it should rake some in.
Did It Bomb: With only a handful of screenings, this made a bit over $90,000! It’s well on its way!
Outcome: Score! 1 ½ out of 4.
We Own the Night: Outcast mends the fence with his estranged police officer father and brother to go after really bad guys.
Will It Bomb? Great casting, so it will probably hit the Top 5.
Did It Bomb? $10.8 mill brought in and a #3 spot. They owned part of the night this past weekend.
Outcome: Score! 2 ½ out of 4.
Why Did I Get Married? Tyler Perry, Janet Jackson, and a bunch of couples needing to mend their relationships bond over a weekend trip.
Will It Bomb? Probably. It looks very sappy and not too thrilling.
Did It Bomb? Apparently, I was dead wrong on this one. It hit #1 spot with $21.4 million! Wonderful!
Outcome: Strike! 2 ½ out of 4.

Is anyone else incredibly sad that Tyler Perry’s movie beat out three of the greatest actors on screen today?

I was thinking the same thing Christine. It just seems so damned wrong.
It somehow makes me want to be violent. Just tells you a lot about our society.
Brainless stupid ethnic movie? or kick-ass action drama with fantastic actors.
