Welcome to MovieSnobs.net - Movie Reviews, from Movie Viewers
Moviesnobs.net is solely dedicated to reviews of Movies. New releases in theaters, new releases on DVD, and upcoming movies that haven't been released just yet. Our site's dedicated to being a real, honest place where people can come for reviews on movies, and get the real deal. No one that writes here is paid off by any motion picture company, nor influenced by anything other than their own opinion. Here at MovieSnobs.net, you get the real scoop on these movies.
Kiefer Sutherland stars in a horror movie where the person in the mirror is staring back at you, and can kill you. Watch the super-creepy red band trailer below.
Sony has the new trailer for Quantum of Solace the next James Bond movie starring Daniel Craig. Judging by how awesome Casino Royale was, even on second, third, and fourth viewings, Quantum should be an excellent flick.
The new trailer shows us a little about what the plot will be, plus plenty of action, hand-to-hand combat, car chases, and the obligatory shirtless shot of Daniel Craig.
The limited-edition Blu-ray gift set includes Blu-Ray high-def exclusive content: The Dark Knight Prologue, plus movie cash to see The Dark Knight in theaters (a $7.50 value), 32-page exclusive Dark Knight Prologue book, 16-page comic book adaptation of the first 6 minutes of The Dark Knight, a Batman Begins lenticular, and five collectible post cards.
It will be released on July 8th, a mere ten days before The Dark Knight premieres. You can also preorder it now.
James Lipton has a great sense of humor. First came his Geico commercials, and now he was kind enough to film a spot with Hellboy. You read that correctly - not Hellboy star Ron Perlman, but Hellboy himself. Watch the video below.
Hellboy II: The Golden Army will be in theaters July 11th.
As a fan of Milla Jovovich, the news that the Resident Evil film franchise may get a fourth installment makes me incredibly happy.
I was a latecomer to the Resident Evil movies, catching the first one a full five years after it was released. After watching it I couldn’t believe I had missed it, and couldn’t wait to see the sequels. Milla Jovovich is a fantastic action actress (making even the dull Ultraviolet at least entertaining at times) and Alice is a compelling character.
The end of the third movie, Resident Evil: Extinction, was left wide open for a sequel, and even had the beginnings of a plotline.
The MTV Movies Blog spoke with the RE writer/director Paul W.S. Anderson who says a fourth film is likely. In an encouraging quote, Anderson says,
I love the Resident Evil franchise and we always try to make the best possible movie we can. If we could find a good Resident Evil 4 to make, then we would do it. But I wouldn’t just do it for the sake of it, that’s for sure.
George Carlin was iconic in the comedy community. He made profanity funny, and parents uncomfortable around their children. Carlin was known for his “seven words you can’t say on television”.
He passed away last night just before 6PM (PST) of heart failure.
It’s debatable around here as to when the site actually started. However, the very first review we had written (Mr and Mrs Smith) was written 3 years ago today, June 20th, 2005.
I’m fairly certain we got the site up and running around late August, of ‘05, but I’m celebrating today anyway.
Happy Birthday MovieSnobs, and thanks to you for checking out our site. I hope you enjoy it, and visit us again.
Like seeing movies? Like telling your friends how good (or bad!) that recent box office hit was? MovieSnobs.net may be your new home on the web.
We’re looking for some new, and talented, writers to join our staff.
Working for us is simple. Just see movies, write reviews, and send them to us. And we’ll pay you. It can’t be much more simple than that!
All you need is the ability to write well, meet deadlines, and follow through on your word.
What are the benefits? Glad you asked. For starters, we’ll pay you to see movies. If that’s not cool enough, we get quite a few sneak preview passes to see movies before they come out, and we often get DVDs sent to us from various mainstream and independent studios (that we’ll send to you, to check out). On top of that, you get to verbally abuse movies you hate, or praise movies you love. On the internet. For hundreds of thousands of people to read every year. What more can you ask for?
Interested? Hop on over to our Staff Application and fill it out. We’ll get back to you if we’re interested, with more information. If you know someone who might be interested, feel free to pass this along to them.
