One of the (strangest) trailers before Pirates on Saturday, was for the new Underdog movie.   While it appears to be live action, I sat and pondered who’s voice it was, behind the dog, until the end of the trailer. And I proclaimed “It’s Jason Lee!”

I’ve been a fan of Jason’s since I saw him back in Mallrats.   The ending scene (on the gameshow) made me laugh more than any other movie I think I’ve ever seen. If you’ve never seen Mallrats, and even if you’re not a fan of Kevin Smith, you should still check out Mallrats.

The Underdog movie opens August 3rd, and is sure to be a big hit with kids, and adults alike.   Personally, I was never a fan of the cartoon.   But if Jason Lee (My Name Is Earl) is doing a voice, it’ll be worth the price of admission.
