Jason Segel seems to be the “it” guy of the moment. Not only does he star in one of the funniest shows on-air today (How I Met Your Mother), but he has a well-hyped, anticipated movie coming out in a month that he wrote and stars in. (I also think he’s quite lucky for getting to co-star with Veronica Mars‘ Kristen Bell.)
Now Geeks of Doom is reporting that he will be writing the new Muppets movie. The last Muppets movie was Muppets From Space in 1999, and the last time I watched the Muppets with any regularity was when I watched my VHS copy of “Miss Piggy’s Magic Bubble” repeatedly. However, with Segel behind the writing wheel, this could be a Muppet movie I’d see in theaters.
