Johnny Depp has had some weird roles - Willy Wonka, Edward Scissorhands, and Ed Wood come to mind - but this may be his weirdest role yet. He will be playing The Demon Barber of Fleet Street - Sweeney Todd.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the story, Sweeney Todd (also known as Benjamin Barker) opens a barbershop on Fleet Street in London, right above Mrs. Lovett’s Meat Pie shop. Sweeney kills his enemies, and little Mrs. Lovett (played by Helena Bonham Carter) bakes them into her pies. The story was a London legend-turned Broadway musical, and will be brought to the big screen by none other than Tim Burton. (I swear - the man’s in love with Johnny Depp. Then again, who isn’t?)

The character kind of looks like Ed Wood, Edward Scissor hands and Willy Wonka mixed together. Cannot wait to see this movie!!
