MTV Movies confirms that while he was offered the role in the upcoming Thor movie, Daniel Craig, who’s currently playing James Bond in next month’s Quantum Of Solace, has turned down the role.
From MTV:
During a recent “Quantum of Solace” press event, Craig revealed that Marvel did indeed approach him to play Thor, but he turned the role down. According to IESB, Craig said he declined the part because it would have been “too much of a power trip” to play both Bond and Thor.

Anyone think Brand can fill Tim Curry’s enormous high heels?

Red-headed beauty Bryce Dallas Howard has joined the cast of Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. Total Film reports that she’ll be playing Kate Connor, a character originated by Claire Danes who was originally named Kate Brewster.
Howard was fabulous in The Village, a little weird in Lady in the Water, and pretty average in Spider-Man 3.

Werner Herzog (Rescue Dawn) is directing a remake of the 1992 film Bad Lieutenant (originally starring Harvey Keitel) with Nic Cage in the title role. The original movie received an NC-17 rating for following the police officer who was involved in, “drugs, gambling, sex and stealing,” according to Variety.
The new movie is set to start shooting late this summer.
