While I really wasn’t excited for Saw V, this batch of new stills has me confused and somewhat intrigued. While they of course feature Costas Mandylor, they also feature Jigsaw and what looks like an old surveillance shot of the good Doctor Gordon from the original Saw movie. Someone compiled the images into a YouTube video, which can be seen below.
Oh, Jason Statham. You always know how to draw us in. No matter how bad a movie sounds, the thought of you driving a car that has rocket launchers on it will always get us to show up. Hell, just the promise of you punching someone will get us to buy a ticket.
Horror-Movies.ca has some new images from Death Race 3000 (also known simply as Death Race, Statham’s latest movie. And while it sounds like a horrible movie, I’m still excited because the description says,
Driving a monster car outfitted with machine guns, flamethrowers and grenade launchers, one desperate man will destroy anything in his path to win the most twisted spectator sport on Earth.
Empire Magazine has two new covers featuring Batman and The Joker. They’re the same issue, but the one with The Joker on the cover has been “Jokerized” (much like the Jokerized Dark Knight trailer). Check out the two covers below.
Obsessed With Film has new images from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It looks like Shia LaBeouf gets into a tussle with Cate Blanchett, rides a motorcycle, and Indy definitely works the whip.
Surely when you saw Enchanted you noticed similarities to classic Disney stories - the poison apple from Snow White (at left), the dress-making birds from Cinderella, etc. What you probably didn’t notice was that the makers of Enchanted went so far as to frame shots the same way as certain Disney movies.
ComingSoon.net has exclusive stills from the movie, juxtaposed with the scenes they were modeled after in the classic Disney films. I can only imagine the level of stress this must have placed on the filmmakers during shooting.
You can check out the scenes for yourself when you pick up Enchanted on DVD today.
Ok, so she’s not actually remaking more movies, but she did do a nice recreation photo shoot of several horror movies (much better than Lindsay Lohan’s recreations of classic Marilyn Monroe portraits).
She posed in recreations of scenes from The Birds, Psycho, and even Scream (at left). /Film has the images, originally taken for Latina magazine.
