While I really wasn’t excited for Saw V, this batch of new stills has me confused and somewhat intrigued. While they of course feature Costas Mandylor, they also feature Jigsaw and what looks like an old surveillance shot of the good Doctor Gordon from the original Saw movie. Someone compiled the images into a YouTube video, which can be seen below.
This year’s Snobbies had a fantastic turnout! We had almost 4,000 voters. Several categories were won by only a few votes (Bratz won over Norbit for Worst Movie with only five votes).
No one matched all 16 categories to win the grand prize, but we had a few other winners for the prizes of an iPod Touch, 3 DVDs of your choice, and 1 DVD. To see how many you matched enter your email address on this page and it will show you your votes and the winners.
Without any further ado, here are the winners of the 2008 Snobbies (don’t forget that some categories have spoilers):
Worst Movie of the Year: Bratz Best Ensemble Cast: Ocean’s Thirteen Best Chick Flick: Music & Lyrics Best “Scare The Hell Out Of Someone” Movie: Saw IV Best CGI: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End Best Laugh Out Loud Movie: Knocked Up Best Action Movie: The Bourne Ultimatum Best Surprise Ending: I Am Legend Best Death In A Movie: Robert Neville (Will Smith) sacrifices himself to save humanity (I Am Legend) Best Badass: Bruce Willis (Live Free or Die Hard) Best Villian: Jigsaw (Saw IV) Best Explosion: Car into helicopter (Live Free or Die Hard) Best On-Screen Pair: Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street) Most Unexpected Comedic Performance: Ellen Page (Juno) Best Bruce Willis Movie: Live Free or Die Hard Best Movie of the Year: The Bourne Ultimatum
Bloody Disgusting confirmed the cast so far for Saw V as Tobin Bell, Scott Patterson, Costas Mandylor, Mark Rolston, Betsy Russell, and Samantha Lemole. IMDb only has Bell, Patterson, and Mandylor listed, but one would assume at least Betsy Russell would be around for the fifth flick in the series.
Mark Rolston and Samantha Lemole are new to the series, but the rest are all returning characters. The movie is still set for release the weekend before Halloween this year, making this the fifth year in a row that we’ll be able to spend Halloween watching Jigsaw impart his special brand of life-appreciation.
