The upcoming release of DVD of Cloverfield has the internet buzz picking up again. The Bad and the Ugly has a roundup of the information spreading on the DVD, and new stuff on the viral sites. There’s a new poster on one of the viral sites for a “missing man” named Teddy. Some seem to think this is hype not for the DVD, but for Cloverfield 2. We’ll see.
The DVD will be out April 22nd, and includes two alternate endings. Hopefully one of them will be less sucky than the theatrical version.

Remember the Optimus Prime phone call promotion for Transformers? There’s another phone call promotion going around, but not of the alien robot variety (or is it?).
At the official site for The Hottie and the Nottie you can submit your phone number (or a friend’s or your gym teacher’s) to receive a call from Paris Hilton (the Hottie, of course).
The Hottie and the Nottie hits theaters February 8th and stars Paris Hilton (sex tape star), Christine Lakin (former child star of Step By Step, and now commercial character actor), and the skinny guy from Dodgeball.

A little over a month ago, some lucky Batman fans received a real piece of the viral marketing that has been going on for The Dark Knight - cell phones hidden in cakes from The Joker.
Today those phones started ringing. The Batman: The Dark Knight blog has the scoop on what the text message from The Joker said.
