Sony has the new trailer for Quantum of Solace the next James Bond movie starring Daniel Craig. Judging by how awesome Casino Royale was, even on second, third, and fourth viewings, Quantum should be an excellent flick.
The new trailer shows us a little about what the plot will be, plus plenty of action, hand-to-hand combat, car chases, and the obligatory shirtless shot of Daniel Craig.
There’s a teaser going around for Transporter 3 starring Jason Statham, and it’s awesome, as expected. In addition to the usual Transporter content of explosions, badass fights, and a shirtless Jason Statham, this one has an added bonus - Robert Knepper as the bad guy. Knepper is famous for his sleazy prisoner T Bag on “Prison Break” and more recently for Hitman.
There’s a new red band trailer available for Wanted, the assassin movie starring Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy, and Morgan Freeman.
It’s only available on iTunes, and it’s totally worth watching. Click here to watch it in iTunes and you’ll get to see some guy’s head explode, an awesome assassination using a flipped over car, and 71-year-old Morgan Freeman drop the f-bomb.
Wall-E and his toys have excellent timing. In the middle of the NBA Finals Wall-E shows up playing with a basketball. He’s as cute as ever, and the trailer attached to it shows more footage of the movie than we’ve seen so far.
It appears that you can’t post a teaser for your own movie on your own site without attaching a rating to it. The Zack and Miri Make a Porno teaser that we posted last week was pulled from Kevin Smith’s Quick Stop Entertainment site because the MPAA told them to. Smith explains:
As with features, all trailers get rated get rated by the MPAA. The majority of them are for general audiences (Green Band trailers), but trailers packed with adult content (like our teaser) earns you what’s called a Red Band trailer. Well, we didn’t go through this process - simply because, we felt, that since the teaser didn’t contain any footage from the actual flick, it wasn’t technically a trailer. Boy, was I wrong. Turns out all promotional material for any film financed/distributed by a signatory of the MPAA has to be signed-off on by the MPAA - including internet-only materials.
Hopefully the boys will slap a red band before that baby and have it back up soon.
This new Wall-E trailer features an introduction to the robots in the movie, including Eve, Wall-E, and a cutie named Moe. It also features the Wall-E meets headphones short we’ve seen before.
We here at MovieSnobs are big fans of John Cusack (let’s be honest - who isn’t?). Needless to say, when we heard he was doing another animated feature, we were thrilled. Igor tells the story of an Igor (which in this context is synonymous with “scientist assistant” who doesn’t want to be an Igor anymore. He wants to invent something and win the science fair on his own.
The trailer is available on Yahoo Movies, and it’s absolutely brilliant. From the use of “She Blinded Me With Science” to the voicework of Cusack, Steve Buscemi, Eddie Izzard, and Sean Hayes, among other all-stars, the trailer is wonderful. The movie will be out September 19th. I highly recommend checking out the trailer.
In a sad turn of events, the trailer for Rainn Wilson’s The Rocker doesn’t look nearly as funny as I had hoped from the plot. Check it out anyway on Yahoo Movies.
The Bat Blog noticed Senator Patrick Leahy (Vermont) in the background of the scene where The Joker approaches Rachel Dawes at the party. And they have the screenshot to prove it.
Apparently the Senator is a big fan of Batman (who isn’t?) and managed to snag this guest spot, as well as a spot in 1997’s Batman & Robin.
