Hey there, everyone!
Well, we have officially kicked off Summer 2007 up here in
Boston (where the temperature reached the high 90’s the last few days)! You know what that means! Lazy days at the beach, cookouts, and cooling off at the movies!
This weekend brings out some of the most phenomenal women in the acting profession, Bruce Willis is once again whipping out the big guns, and a cute little chef who’s a little ratty but lovable!
So, without any further ado, let’s take a gander at what’s playing this weekend!
Evening: Two of the most respected actresses out there team up for this film! Lifelong friends Vanessa Redgrave and Meryl Streep are coming together for Redgrave’s last moments. Along with Vanessa’s daughters (Toni Collette and Natasha Richardson), they travel back to their respective pasts for a walk down memory lane.
Will It Bomb? Fans of the superwomen of film acting will flock to this!We’ve seen real-life mother and daughter Redgrave and Richardson together many times. Now, we get to see Streep’s lookalike daughter Mamie Gummer step into the family profession, along with fan favorite Claire Danes. I vote that there will be a pretty good take for this film.
Live Free or Die Hard: Bruce Willis is back in what could be the final film in the series, but I am so stoked! John McClane is still doing what he does best: nailing the baddies. But, there’s a hostage in this situation that’s a bit close to heart: his daughter.
Will It Bomb? It’s Die Hard… That’s all that I have to say. Yippee-ki-yay-motherf***er! This will hit the Top 5, if not the top spot, this weekend!
Ratatouille:On one hand, you have a chef in France who’s not as apt in his cooking skills. On the other hand, you have a little rat who’s a genius in the kitchen. Put them together, it’s almost a Cyrano de Bergerac for the culinary world!
Will It Bomb? It looks really cute and there isn’t too much for kiddie fare this weekend, so this will bring in the bucks!
