At the movies last weekend there were lots of good trailers. We thought we’d share them with you to get you through the week.

Fracture – Stars Ryan Gosling & Anthony Hopkins in a cat & mouse thriller. Gosling plays the detective. Hopkins plays the crazy, yet intelligent, murderer.

Dead Silence – From the makers of the Saw trilogy comes another terrifying movie. A dead ultra-creepy ventriloquist lady and her Chucky-like dolls attack anyone who comes in the house.

Next – Nic Cage as a man who can see the future. Lots of explosions. Interesting story.

Bug – All kinds of creepiness. I can barely watch the trailer, it’s that disgusting.

The Hoax – Richard Gere stars in a based-in-truth movie about the fake autobiography written about Howard Hughes.

Contrary to yesterday’s post, Dame Helen Mirren will not be meeting with Queen Elizabeth II. Apparently, CNN jumped the gun. According to imdb.com, Mirren has denied reports that she was invited for tea at the Royal Palace. She has been quoted saying the story was a media myth.

The Queen is having tea with…the Queen.

My favorite actress of the year, and the Academy’s as well, might be having tea with the woman responsible for her success – The Queen herself.

That’s right. According to a CNN report, Dame Helen Mirren and Stephen Frears, star and director of The Queen respectively, are in talks with the palace to schedule a visit. While Her Highness was quoted as not wanting to watch the film, she was apparently touched by Mirren’s salute to her during her Oscar acceptance speech
