  Remakes Galore!
Posted by: Mike on Feb 26th, 2009 Leave a Comment »

News broke last night that not one, but two completely unneccessary remakes are in the works.

1) The folks responsible for 1990’s Total Recall, should be rolling over in their graves (assuming they’re dead, of course), because they’re remaking the movie.  What’s wrong with the original? Do we really need a more Sci-Fi Total Recall?

2) The NeverEnding Story.  Yes, they’re going to demolish your childhood.  Bastian will probably be played by Zac Efron, and Fantasia will be 100% CGI.  My childhood is crushed, and would appreciate if this movie never gets made.

Looks pretty funny, especially remembering how hard I laughed at Superbad.

  Jackson Will Play Fury

Samuel L. Jackson said a few months ago, that he wouldn’t be playing Nick Fury in any of Marvel’s upcoming movies.

We hear today that not only will he be in fact playing Nick Fury, but that he signed a 9 picture deal to play the character.   There’s 9 more movies that are going on my “must see” list, immediately.

Full story at ComingSoon.

Arrested Development

Arrested Development

For those of you who loved “Arrested Development”, and were pissed it was canceled, you were probably psyched when you heard they were making a movie.

You were probably then re-pissed when you heard Michael Cera was the hold out from the main cast, who hadn’t signed on.

Well, you can be re-psyched again, because as of yesterday, he’s signed his contract, and will be a part of the movie.

  The B-Team Movie

Fox is making an A-Team movie, it’s been in the works for the last 8 months.

What you may not know, is that they’re also making a movie called The B-Team, starring Will Ferrell, and Mark Wahlberg, as mismatched cops who work their day to day.

The B-Team will likely be a spoof on the typical buddy cop movies such as Rush Hour, Leathal Weapon, etc,
