In a stunning weekend take, the Coen brothers bring in their all time highest grossing opening weekend, beating up on De Niro and Pacino with a take of $19.4 million for Burn After Reading.
Tyler Perry’s The Family That Preys came in second with $18 million. I, for one, totally don’t get that whole “only black people allowed” movie mentality. What’s Tyler Perry got against white people?
De Niro and Pacino came in with $16.5 million for Righteous Kill, not a bad take, but certainly not the #1 spot that was expected.
Is the world ending? Or are Brad Pitt and George Clooney the new De Niro and Pacino?
