Big news on the Sex & the City movie today is that Chris Noth has signed on for the film. I never watched the show (sorry, Trish), but I understand he was one of the many men in Carrie Bradshaw’s life. Girls? Can anyone flesh out my story a little?
Noth will be working on the Sex & the City movie while still working on Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
I doubt there will be a Carrie/Big wedding. She definitely wasn’t the marrying kind, if you all remember. However, the entire point of their relationship is that they weren’t trying to change each other (for the most part).
If there’s a Big/Carrie wedding.. I might projectile.. n/m. But if they do a wedding.. I think it would be incredibly inconsistent with the show. And it’s just going to be so weird.. like a Brady Bunch reunion. I might get sick if someone is running for a position in government.
I love this show, but I’m ambivalent about the movie. I think that they did wrap things up really well, and I’m not sure there’s a lot of story left to tell. That said, a movie would have been weird without Mr. Big!
I loved this show, and I am extremely excited that the movie is FINALLY going into production. For a S&TC buff, the movie would not be complete without Christopher Noth.
I am absolutely onboard to see it when it is released!!!
P.S. While the show ended in a lovely way, I’m one of those gals who likes to see the “Three years later” stuff. Bring it on, baby!
AHHH MR. BIG HAS SIGNED ON! WOOOHOOOO.. He is almost as important as the girls in the show! He is (spoiler if you haven’t watched)…who Carrie ends up with at the end of the show…. but we shall see what happens in the movie. Since it’s been a couple years, some people are unsure if they want to see the movie because of the time that has lapsed and because of the ending (things seemed to have tied up pretty well). I’ll go see it. During a matinee of course. With my old student ID.

Thanks for the Mr. Big info. I probably should get the show on DVD, especially now that I know it has a happy ending.
