Earlier this week, Kevin Smith posted about an art show he and Scott Mosier were going to be hosting in L.A. called Crazy 4 Cult. Since I don’t live in L.A., I hadn’t paid much attention. Until I saw pictures from the art show today. Now I’m jealous that I don’t live in L.A.
L.A. Weekly has a nice slideshow of images from the gallery, including one piece of artwork of Smith’s characters Jay & Silent Bob, Milton from Office Space (including his red stapler), plus Han, Chewy, and some Stormtroopers.
My favorite piece in the slideshow, however, is titled Mooby’s Last Supper and is a version of the famous painting The Last Supper with Kevin Smith characters in place of Jesus and the apostles. With Stan Lee as God, of course.
If you live in the L.A. area, you should definitely get out to see this show in person. It runs until August 10th. All the information can be found at the Gallery 1988 website. Prints of some of the pieces will be available on the site soon – all of which would make excellent conversation starters for the cult movie fan.
