Oddly enough, I got an e-mail from Barnes & Noble last night, telling me that I can pre-order Dan Brown’s new novel The Lost Symbol.
This morning, I read that Columbia pictures, in an attempt to preemptively strike before any other studios, have already begun securing the rights to make the novel into a film.
Brown’s first novel, Angels and Demons is set to open, as a movie, next month.
Brown’s follow up to Angels and Demons, The DaVinci Code was made into a movie a few years ago, and if you ask me, was pretty terrible.
Tom Hanks, nor Ron Howard have commented on whether or not they’ll return for The Lost Symbol, but it’s highly unlikely that either of them will turn down the paycheck, especially this late in their careers.
