It was reported yesterday, via various sources, that Martin Scorses and Robert De Niro are going to be working together on a movie called I Heard You Paint Houses, which is an adaptation of the book of the same name, written by Charles Brandt.
“I heard you paint houses” was/is mobster slang for killing people, and the splatter of blood that flew across walls and ceilings in the victims’ homes.
De Niro will play Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran, who was reportedly involved in as many as 25 mob assassinations. Many believe he is the man responsible for killing Jimmy Hoffa.
Part of me is excited, but the other half says “that last De Niro movie got reviewed pretty badly.” What do you think? Does this sound like something you’d be interested in? Voice your opinion in the comments.

My cousin Charlie wrote a book based on actual personal interviews with his client Francis Sheeren. I am biased due to have had read the nonfiction work and being the Charles Di Marco Brandt’s second cousin. The casting is wonderful for the upcoming genre feature cimema. It better play in the south espically in South Carolina and North Carolina where the authors’ cousins live.
