Some of you are too young to remember what happened 25 years ago today. I was four, so I don’t remember, either. Let me refresh your memory. It was 25 years ago today, that the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book came out. Yes, twenty-five years ago.
What does that mean? The studios want to bank on it, that’s what. They’ve begun work on a live action TMNT movie, which will be the first since 1993’s TMNT III. (I’m not counting the all CGI crapfest a few years back.)
It’s said that the new movie will be in the style of Batman Begins, a dark, gritty, origins type movie.
If they want to make serious money, I say they hire Christopher Nolan to helm it. That guy can’t miss these days.
