A Lot Like Love Review

The movie starts with the ’90s classic “Semi Charmed Life” by Third Eye Blind. Ashton Kutcher plays Oliver, a camera-toting young adult on his way to New York City to visit his brother. Amanda Peet plays Emily, a chain-smoking, combat boot-wearing rock chick who acts on a whim. The two make an interesting, yet somehow adorable pair after their “connection” on the plane.

Coincidence finds them meeting each other again on the streets of New York. Break-ups find them gravitating towards each other for comfort and friendship, and maybe more.

I have to say that I enjoyed this movie way more than I thought I would. I’m not much of a chick flick fan, but this was adorable. Peet and Kutcher make an excellent pair. They have great chemistry and really seemed comfortable with each other.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Definitely worth the rental/Netflix. Also, if you’re into movie soundtracks, this one has a great one – including “Breathe” from Anna Nalick and one of my all time favorites, Butch Walker’s “Maybe It’s Just Me.”
