I had been excited to see this movie. I don’t regret my anticipation, but I do regret not waiting to rent this. Going into the movie I had no expectations. That was a good thing. I didn’t expect it to be scary, so when it turned out to not be scary, that was fine with me. What wasn’t okay was the disappointment I felt in the overall direction of the movie. It’s full of plot holes, has tedious dialogue, and wastes Hilary Swank’s ability. Maybe she was feeling lazy, maybe she didn’t read the script the whole way through before accepting the part. I would even go so far to say that the script was finished the last day of shooting with input from the grippers. It just doesn’t follow, and really leaves the viewer with a bad taste in their mouths.
This movie is the 11th Biblical plague that is sweeping Hollywood. Repent and ask for a refund.
