You read about it here, first, back on July 25th, of 2006, that Bruce Campbell was making a movie about himself, sort of a spoof on himself.

Well, now, over 2 years later, we get release dates for the limited engagement.

  •  Nov. 20: Toledo, OH
  •  Nov. 21-23: Detroit, MI

I, for one, will be there on November 7th when it hits theaters in Boston.  Especially after seeing Bruce in “Burn Notice” these last two seasons.  He really is a kick-ass actor, more people should like him.

Having just finished reading Bruce Campbell’s book, If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor style= (which I highly recommend), I’m really excited about the prospect of there being an Evil Dead IV. Bruce spoke to the MTV Movies Blog recently about a timeline and plot for the movie. He says,

Nobody knows anything. I mean if we were really smart, we’d go back to a handheld movie and shoot it in 16mm and find someplace in the middle of nowhere. And have a crew of 10 people. If we were smart.

After reading all about his experiences filming the first (and second, and third) Evil Dead flicks, I think a small crew in the middle of nowhere might bring out the best movie, as he suggests.

Read more about it at the MTV Movies Blog.
