Guillermo del Toro is generally a pretty smart guy, who makes sound films, produces pretty great ones, and generally has a good head on his shoulders.
So why, then, has he cast Katie Holmes in his next prodcued (and co-written) film, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.
Did he not see Batman Begins? There’s a reason Katie Holmes has only done two movies since then. She’s a horrible, terrible, really bad actress. Oh, and she’s batshit crazy, too.
I didn’t really care for The Orphanage, and truly expected much more from del Toro. And the way that news about Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark is starting out, I’m worried for it too.
