  Back To America?

When I first heard about this movie, I thought Coming to America 2?  No one’s saying that’s what Back to America is going to be, but it is.

The story is about a “middle class guy, living in Queens, who finds out he’s the heir to an African country’s fortune”

More or less Coming to America, but backwards.  Oh, and no, Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall will not be in it.  It’ll star Martin Lawerence, which pretty much guarantee it’ll suck.

Coming to America is one of the greatest comedies from its era, to sully it with a Martin Lawerence movie is insulting to Eddie Murphy’s legacy.

Comedic Genius Allison Janney In Two New Comedies

Allison Janney is one funny lady. She was excellent in Juno, and hilarious in 10 Things I Hate About You.

Empire Online has all the details on Allison Janney’s two new comedies. The first is This Must Be The Place, which also stars the adorable John Krasinski.

The second is (unfortunately) an Eddie Murphy movie called A Thousand Words. The premise sounds interesting – Eddie plays a man who learns he has only 1,000 words left to say before he dies. But we all know Eddie can’t make a funny movie anymore.

I’ll definitely be checking out the first, since I’ll watch anything with John Krasinski in it (including License to Wed). Janney’s a scene-stealer in any movie she’s in, so I might have to check out the Eddie Murphy movie anyway.
