Christine watched the James McAvoy/Angelina Jolie action flick Wanted and wasn’t impressed. She says,

I had high expectations for Wanted after seeing the totally awesome red band trailer. Unfortunately, most of the really exciting parts of the movie were given away in the trailer.

There’s a new red band trailer available for Wanted, the assassin movie starring Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy, and Morgan Freeman.

It’s only available on iTunes, and it’s totally worth watching. Click here to watch it in iTunes and you’ll get to see some guy’s head explode, an awesome assassination using a flipped over car, and 71-year-old Morgan Freeman drop the f-bomb.

Wanted will be in theaters June 27th.

As if we needed more proof that Angelina Jolie is a class A badass, the new poster for her action movie Wanted prominently features Ms. Jolie and her costar James McAvoy (who I’m not yet convinced can play a badass).

Wanted also stars the undeniably cool Morgan Freeman and will be in theaters June 27th, 2008.

I Am Legend on Blu Ray This week’s new releases are powerhouse films starring big stars. I Am Legend stars Will Smith as Robert Neville, the last man on Earth. Atonement stars Keira Knightley and James McAvoy as lovers torn apart when he’s wrongfully accused of a crime. Enchanted stars the adorable Amy Adams in her own Cinderella-story, where Prince Charming could be James Marsden or Patrick Dempsey (I’m sold either way).

Hello, kids! Today is February 29th! A rarity, since it only comes around every four years! How great is it that it falls on a Friday? That’s just in time for the weekend rush. What films are lucky enough to be released and hopefully find success on this Leap Year? Scroll on down and check it out!

Welcome to this week’s edition of WIB?!

Chicago 10 (Limited Release): The US was embroiled in a hotbed of controversy with the anti-Vietnam War protests at the 1968 Democratic Convention. This film focuses on and revisits the subsequent trial of a handful of men who had all fingers pointed at them for allegedly fueling the fire.
Will It Bomb? Considering this is a voting year, many of those who are politically minded will attend a screening. I think it’ll bring in a modest amount of money, since it’s in Limited Release.
