LatinoReview is reporting that the powers that be, at Sony, have given the go ahead to Sam Raimi for Spider-man 4 and Spider-man 5.
After the crap-fest that was Spider-man 3, why would they spend another quadzillion dollars to make another one?

Having just seen Juno, I’m a little in awe of Ellen Page. I loved her even more after reading the interview with her in Entertainment Weekly. She seems like a smart girl – like someone I would have been friends with in high school. She’s a fresh face in Hollywood these days, so it’s no surprise that director Sam Raimi has picked her up for his new horror film, Drag Me To Hell.
Empire Online points out that this is Raimi’s first non-Spider-Man movie in eight years. It’s also his first horror movie since Army of Darkness.
I’m really looking forward to see what Page can do for a horror movie. It’s also a good sign that she won’t be typecast as the smart-mouthed indie chick forever.
