Woody Allen makes movies that you either love, or really hate. I’ve always been indifferent, but this trailer for Whatever Works actually looks pretty funny. Check out the trailer, courtesy of RopesofSilicon, and the poster directly below it.  It stars Larry David, and Evan Rachel Wood (whom I’ve loved since The Life Before Her Eyes).

As if Woody Allen’s obsession with Scarlett Johansson wasn’t creepy enough, he’s now cast her as a lesbian in his upcoming film Vicky Cristina Barcelona. The movie involves a lesbian scene with Penelope Cruz and a threesome with Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz.

All I can say is ewwww.

Cloverfield: Who has not heard or read anything about this film in the last 6 months or so? That’s how long they’ve been running this unbelievable marketing campaign! A vicious “thing” has been running rampant through NYC and destroying everything in its path. I’ve been wondering if this was just going to be something like Godzilla (which we’ve seen repeatedly). That would not make me happy!
Will It Bomb? It’s going to premiere at the very, very top of the list and will blow away all the others and simply rake it in! Mark my words!
Did It Bomb? I was right on the button, my friends! It debuted at #1 and raked in an impressive $41 million!!!
Outcome: Score! 1 out of 4.
