In the “Who freaking cares” category, comes this news that no one gives a damn about.

Zac Efron has been cast to play Johnny Quest is the upcoming live action version of the cartoon.

Also in talks to be in the film is “The Rock” Dwayne Johnson, for the role of pilot and man-of-action Race Bannon.

I was never a fan of the cartoon, in fact I don’t think I’ve ever even seen it.  Those that have, is this good news, or bad news?  Is this live action film doomed from the get-go?

In news you don’t give a crap about, this just in:

Zac Efron will not be partaking in the Footloose remake being worked on later this year.  Entertainment Weekly reports

Footloose is a project we’ve longed to see re-booted for a new generation. While Zac is no longer attached, we remain excited and committed to the collective brain trust of Kenny Ortega, Neil Meron and Craig Zaden, who will reinvigorate the franchise. Their fresh take on the film will undoubtedly be filled with the same kind of breakout performances that we’ve come to expect from them.

He reportedly pulled out to avoid being typecast in musical movies.  Really? Don’tcha think it’s a bit late for that? How many High School Musicals have you done?

Pirates 4 Rumor – Zac Efron?

Zac Efron has been quoted as saying:

At this point, it’s just a rumor.

This came in an interview with Ryan Seacrest, on his radio show.  What does that mean?  It means the franchise is going to die, because they probably are casting him.

The majority of actors who say “it’s just a rumor” have already been offered the part, and are in the process of negotiating terms, but don’t want to screw it up by saying something.

First, talks of Tim Burton directing, now Zac Efron directing?  Has Disney lost their goddamnedfreaking minds?  Tim Burton belongs off in his little world making weird movies with clay, and Zac Efron belongs playing a high school student until he’s 30.  Neither of them belong in, or around, a fourth Pirates movie.
